The Pledge

Real thoughts. Real opinions. Real life. No AI, no LARPing, no selling, no gatekeeping.

The Blog is a social app for what you actually think and what is actually happening in your life. An ordinary day is enough. You do not need a polished life, an audience or something to sell.

These are the promises each member makes. They cover posts, comments, profiles and how you treat people here.

The pledge itself

  1. I write it myself. No AI writes, rewrites, outlines or polishes my posts or comments. Ordinary spellcheck is fine. If I quote AI to discuss it, I label it and put it in quotes; I do not present machine output as my own voice or AI-generated media as real life.
  2. I do not LARP a life. I do not present an invented identity, experience, achievement or expertise as real. I share thoughts I actually hold and distinguish what I know from what I am guessing.
  3. I am not selling anything here. No pitches, affiliate offers, checkout links, funnels, paid-access bait or “comment YES and I will send it to you.” A post is a conversation, not a lead for a sale.
  4. I say what I mean. No gatekeeping useful details to sell access or act superior. No vagueposting that withholds the point to fish for attention, likes, comments or DMs.
  5. I respect boundaries. Nobody owes me private information, personal contacts, a location, a trade secret or an explanation they do not want to share. I can keep those things private too.
  6. I report honestly. I explain what I saw. I do not turn disagreement, dislike or a grudge into an accusation. If I get something wrong, I correct it.

No LARPing

Be yourself without performing an invented life. Do not impersonate somebody, claim credentials you do not have, or pass off a made-up personal story as something that happened to you.

A pen name is fine. Keeping your name, job, location or other personal details private is fine. Being uncertain, making an honest mistake, changing your mind or holding an unpopular opinion is not LARPing. Nobody has to expose private records to prove they belong here.

No selling

Share something useful because it helped you, not because you are recruiting customers. Honest recommendations without a commercial pitch are welcome. Hidden commissions, sales funnels, “DM me for the price” and paid groups disguised as community are not.

No gatekeeping or vagueposting

If you have a point, make it. Do not hide the useful part so people have to follow you, flatter you, comment a keyword, DM you or pay for access. Cryptic posts designed only to make people chase the story are attention bait, not sharing.

You can say “I do not want to share that,” skip a question or leave out sensitive details. A short post, a private situation or an unfinished thought is not automatically a violation. The rule is about using withheld information to extract status, engagement or a sale.

How reporting works

Use Report on a post for AI content, LARPing, selling, gatekeeping or another pledge concern. For LARPing, gatekeeping or Other, explain the specific concern so a person has something to review. Do not upload somebody's private documents as proof.

The same Report button includes safety concerns such as harassment, sexual exploitation, exposed personal information and dangerous content. Safety reports are reviewed privately and do not count against reporting standing. Comments, profiles and messages also use Report; those reports go to private review and are not published as accusations.

Reports are allegations, not verdicts. People review context and decide; a report does not automatically ban someone. Writing style alone is not proof of AI use, and disagreement alone is not proof that someone is lying. We do not promise to catch every violation.

Post reports retain the existing reporting-standing system: a cleared report can count against the reporter, and three unexcused cleared reports pause further post reports. An operator can excuse an honest mistake. Private safety and community reports use the separate, unscored queue.

Consequences and appeals

Breaking the pledge can lead to content restrictions or a ban. A pledge ban is public on the Banned List, with the operator's reason and evidence subject to the safety and deletion rules in the Terms. Private safety reports are reviewed privately; unsafe material is not published as evidence.

Every ban can be appealed through the private appeal process. If you cannot find your appeal link, use Support. People review the argument and decide. An overturned ban is marked on the public record.

Joining The Blog

Membership starts with an invitation addressed to your phone number or email. Sign in with a code sent to that phone number or email, or use Google or Apple with the invited email address. You read and sign this pledge, choose your handle, then enter the feed. Existing members sign in without another invitation.

Private writing is protected by server-side membership and access rules. Your sign-in email and phone are not displayed on your profile. You can use a pen name, choose your privacy settings, block people and ask the operators for help.

The Blog currently has no advertising. Any future advertising would require clear labels and updated disclosures. Member posts are not a place to sell.
